Introduction
This CD-ROM contains thousands of images from the National Solar Observatory/Kitt
Peak Vacuum Telescope (KPVT) created almost every day for over 25 years. These
images show the magnetic field of the sun, and from them we are learning about the
sun's 22-year cycle of magnetic activity. The CD also contains an introduction to
the study of the sun, with links to resources on the web for further understanding.
Image processing tools are provided for you to learn more about the sun using these
images.
This is a preliminary version of this compact disk.
